Walk for Less with the AT-Series "Best of the Hairspring" Pedometers

Look no further, the AT-series hairspring pedometers are here!  NEW-LIFESTYLES is now an official distributor of Activity Technologies pedometers. Considered the best of the hairspring pedometers, they're a great option for the budget-strapped who don't need high-end pedometers, like DIGI-WALKER pedometers and NL-series accelerometers.

The AT-series pedometers contain the same hairspring-levered internal mechanism as those sold for considerably more money by other pedometer dealers, that is, they are made at the same factory.   However, on the AT-80 series the clip was made stronger and the RESET and MODE buttons were repositioned so they follow the principles of smart design, and yet we still tagged them with a much lower price!  Simply put, we liked the product for what it could offer (namely, a much lower price-point), but we couldn’t justify the high price.  Now you can get the Walk4Life pedometer for less—much less!  We’re selling it at a smaller, more reasonable profit to give more people a chance to experience step-counting and become more active, more often!

Currently, the AT-70 series is available.  The AT-70 series offers the following features:
AT-70:
Steps Only
AT-73: Steps, Distance, & Activity Time
AT-75: Steps, Distance, Activity Time, Calories, & Clock

And while we didn’t redesign the buttons on the AT-70 series, we know that you’ll still find them to be terrific hairspring pedometers at a tremendous value when compared to the competition.

The redesigned AT-80 series hairspring pedometers will become available mid-summer.
You can purchase the AT-series pedometers online by going to

Healthy Food For Everybody: Beans and Cabbage with Shrimp

A tasty, satisfying and healthy recipe from The Joy of Cooking. Hearty enough to be featured as a main dish or served on the side as a delicious accompaniment.

Heat in a large saucepan over medium heat:
2 tablespoons olive oil
Add:
1 cup minced onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
Cook, stirring, until the onions are soft and translucent, 5 to 8 minutes.
Stir in:
2 cups chicken or fish stock
1 bay leaf

Cook, uncovered, over medium to low heat until partially reduced, about 8 minutes.
Stir in:
4 cups thinly sliced Savoy or Nappa cabbage
2 cups cooked navy or cannellini beans, rinsed and drained if canned
1 cup thinly sliced peeled carrots
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme, or 1/2 teaspoon dried

Cover and cook until the vegetables are wilted and tender, about 8 minutes. Remove the bay leaf.
Stir in:
1 pound medium shrimp, shelled and deveined
Cook until pink, 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir in:
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Serve warm and enjoy!
