The yellow SW-401 YAMAX DIGI-WALKER™ pedometer tracks steps and multiplies them by your stride length to calculate the number of miles you traveled. With the touch of one button, you can alternate between totals for steps and miles. This model accepts stride lengths in increments of .25 feet. The SW-401 Pedometer is available in Black or Yellow. Its internal sensor mechanism uses a coiled spring-suspended lever arm, and therefore it counts best on those who are not overweight or obese and at speeds greater than 2.5 mph. If you are overweight or if you walk at speeds slower than 2.5 mph, then opt for one of the NL-series piezoelectric accelerometers.

  • Steps and distance in miles
  • Three button operation—RESET, SET & MODE
  • Settings: stride length from 1 to 6 feet in .25 increments (Setting stride length isn't necessary for the device to count steps, but the device needs to "know" your stride length to calculate distance.)
  • Yellow or Black case
  • Plastic "U" clip for attachment to waistband or belt
  • Pedometer dimensions: 2 x 1 1/2 x 3/4 inches ( x x cm)
  • Pedometer weight: 0.8 ounce (22.7 grams)
  • Battery operation; uses an LR44 cell
  • Battery life: about 3 years
  • Counts steps up to 99,999 then rolls over to zero
